FoundationsLesson 06 / 09
Read the claim behind the symbols.
A ties together assumptions, evidence, and a proposition. Each part has a different job.
1. On the left: assumptions
is the context: a collection of named assumptions that may be used here. The separates it from the claim being justified.
For example, a context containing a : A makes the assumption named a available as evidence for A.
2. On the right: evidence and goal
Lowercase denotes the proof term. Uppercase denotes its proposition. The connects them.
This is the intended judgment of our prover. Displaying the symbols is not the same as running the .
3. Take this with you
You can now identify the goal, the evidence, the assumptions, and the authority that checks them. Open the playground to see those pieces working together.
